Idling

Penalty Charge Notices will be issued to any vehicle observed idling by a London Borough of Lewisham Civil Enforcement Officer. This applies to any vehicle that is not in a traffic jam.

How to report idling

Vehicles which are idling can be reported by telephone or by email.

After the report is made

Due to the nature of idling, it is not likely that a Civil Enforcement Officer will attend the scene of the report before the idling vehicle moves on. Reports of idling will be tracked by NSL Lewisham Parking Services whether a Penalty Charge Notice is issued or not.

Enforcement will be adjusted as idling hotspots are identified over time.
